Iceland Pathfinder Trip Report
Gulf Region Royal Rangers sponsored a Pathfinder Missions Trip to the country of Iceland on June 14-26. Twenty-six (26) team members from 6 States participated in the trip. We had a construction team that worked on Iceland's Pentecostal Conference Center. Projects included building a bridge, building stairs from one level of the campground to another, hanging sheetrock, laying carpet, clean volcanic ash from gutters, repairing and building new gutters, and more.
There was also an outreach team of older boys that participated in sports outreach in two villages, provided day camp activities for children, ministered in local churches, and helped with laying the groundwork for a new Royal Rangers outpost in the village of Hofn. The team also helped a family in need by providing manual labor for a project they needed help with.
Other ministry projects included ministy in four of the seven Pentecostal Churches in the country, a marriage seminar, and more.
Thank you to Mike and Cindy King and all the other team members that made this such a fantastic ministry experience!!!

When all the testing and voting was completed, Johnathan Schutz was selected as National Scout by one point. We would like to give a special thank you to Ryan Reed for serving as our National Scout and to Jonathan Thompson for serving as our Territorial Scout for the last two years. And we offer our most sincere congratulations to Johnathan and Ryan for achieving this milestone in their lives! We're really proud of you!!!
